1、 Water treatment method of hub motor
 
1. Hot air gun evaporation water removal
 
The water in the hub motor can be dried by hot air gun to remove water by evaporation. If the magnetic steel is wet, the surface of the magnetic steel will be oxidized and rusted in the future, which will cause large discharge current and heat up the motor, which will waste electricity. For a long time, the oil sludge and rust will gather in the motor internal bearing, and the motor current will increase and the driving mileage will be shortened. The motor friction will cause the whole vehicle parts to run hard.
 
2. Circulation hot air drying method
 
A drying chamber is made of heat insulation material with air outlet on the top and air inlet on the side. The air inlet is connected with the heating chamber, and about 3KW 220 V electric furnace wire is set in the heating room. The hot air in the heating room is blown into the drying room with a blower to dry the motor winding. The temperature of hot air in drying chamber should be controlled at about 100 ℃.
 
3. Using bulb drying method
 
Put an incandescent bulb or a tungsten lamp into the cavity for drying. When using, the bulb should not be too close to the coil to avoid burning out the coil. The motor shell can be covered with canvas for thermal insulation. Safety protection lamps must be used.
 
4. Using electric current drying method
 
In general, the drying speed of low-voltage rotor winding is faster than that of low-voltage motor.
 
5. Drying method of motor iron loss
 
The basic principle of iron loss drying method is that the excitation coil is wound on the stator winding core of the motor, and the alternating current is applied to make the stator core produce magnetic flux, and the temperature rise caused by eddy current loss of iron core is used to dry the motor. This drying method is also suitable for large and medium-sized motors as well as current drying.
 
6. Apply sealing sealant on the circumference
 
The end cover of hub motor can be coated with sealant. In order to seal the end cover more tightly and avoid secondary damage caused by loose sealing, check whether the "oil seal" of motor end cover on both sides of motor is sealed well, so as to make the water as seamless as possible. In addition, when the upper end of the motor is close to the upper end of the motor, it is better to use the rubber hammer to screw the motor into place.
 
7. Drying with desiccant
 
There are two kinds of desiccant, quicklime desiccant and silica gel desiccant. The water absorption capacity of quicklime is realized by chemical reaction. No matter the humidity of the external environment is high or low, it can maintain the moisture absorption capacity of 35% greater than its own weight. It is more suitable for low temperature storage, and has excellent drying and moisture absorption effect, and the price is low. Silica gel, the main raw material of silica gel desiccant, is a kind of water containing silica with high microporous structure, which is nontoxic, tasteless, odorless, stable chemical property and strong hygroscopicity. The relative price is higher.
 
2、 Matters needing attention in water treatment
 
1. Observe both end caps
 
Observe whether the two end covers of the motor are rusted and jammed or the rotation is not flexible due to water inflow. If the operation is not "smooth", properly apply lubricating oil, and if necessary, replace it in time, so as to avoid coil damage caused by bearing falling off during motor use.
 
2. Grinding, rust removal and maintenance
 
The motor with water inflow will have rust more or less, so it can be cleaned and derusted with "gauze". On the magnetic steel sheet and stator slot plate to be removed, the "foreign matters" can be blown by air pump to "run away", so as to prevent sweeping due to blocking motor speed. If the bearing is not damaged, remove the oil seal and apply grease. Install the end cover oil seal. If the oil seal is aged, please replace it.
