Explain the wiring method and precautions of brushless hub motor in detail

Generally speaking, the current structure of the wheel motor is brushless motor, which has the advantages of low operating sound, low maintenance cost, good control effect, small motor volume, etc., which is popular in the electrical industry. But what is the wiring method of brushless hub motor? Today, the small series of global wind turbine will explain the wiring method and precautions of brushless hub motor.
 
1、 Phase angle judgment of brushless hub motor
 
1. Definition of phase angle
 
The phase angle of brushless wheel motor is the abbreviation of phase algebraic angle of brushless wheel motor, which refers to the angle of current direction change in the coil of brushless wheel motor in a power on cycle. There are two common phase algebraic angles of brushless hub motor for electric vehicle, which are 120 degree and 60 degree.
 
2. Judge phase angle position
 
Observe the installation space position of Hall element to judge the phase angle of BLDCM: the installation space position of Hall element with 120 degree and 60 degree phase angle is different. The arrangement of the three Hall of the 60 degree motor is the same. The hall in the middle of the 120 degree motor needs to be overturned 180 degrees.
 
3. Detection phase angle
 
Five hall leads of the brushless controller can be used to connect the positive and negative power supply on the hall element lead of the brushless hub motor, and the leads of the other three phase sensors, a, B and C, can be arbitrarily connected to the leads of the hall signal lead of the controller. The phase angle of BLDCM can be detected by connecting the power supply of controller and Hall element. The detection methods are as follows:
 
(1) Use the + 20V DC voltage level of the multimeter, connect the black lead to the ground wire and the red lead to measure the voltage of the three leads, and record the high and low voltage of the three leads.
 
(2) Turn the motor slightly, turn the motor to a small magnetic pull angle, measure and record the high and low voltage of the three leads again, and measure and record 6 times in this way. We use 1 for high potential and 0 for low potential.
 
(3) If the motor is a 60 degree brushless hub motor, continuously rotating six small magnetic relay angles, the measured hall true value signal should be: 100, 110, 111, 011, 001, 000. Adjust the pin sequence of the three Hall element leads so that the A, B and C phases of the 60 degree brushless hub motor can be judged.
 
(4) If it is a 120 degree brushless hub motor, continuously rotate six small magnetic pull angles, the measured hall true value signal should be changed according to the rule of 100, 110, 010, 001, 101, so that the power on phase sequence of Hall element lead can be judged. After understanding the phase angle, it is more helpful for us to understand the wiring method of brushless hub motor.
 
2、 Wiring method of brushless hub motor
 
1. The leads must correspond to the controller
 
There are three coil leads of brushless hub motor. The black wire is the negative pole, the red wire is the positive pole, and the yellow wire is the speed signal output. There are five hall leads, which are common power positive pole, common power negative pole, A-phase Hall output, B-phase Hall output and C-phase Hall output. The 8 wires must correspond with the corresponding leads of the controller, otherwise the motor can not rotate normally.
 
2. 60 degree brushless hub motor
 
There are two kinds of correct wiring between the 60 degree phase angle brushless hub motor and the 60 degree phase angle controller, one is forward rotation and the other is reverse rotation. If the brushless hub motor reverses, it indicates that the phase angle of the brushless controller and the brushless wheel motor are matched, we can adjust the motor steering: exchange the wiring of a and C of the hall lead of the brushless wheel motor and the hall lead of the brushless controller; at the same time, exchange the wiring between the brushless wheel motor and the main phase lines a and B of the brushless controller.
 
3. 120 degree brushless hub motor
 
For the brushless hub motor with 120 degree phase angle, by adjusting the phase sequence of coil lead and hall lead, there are six kinds of correct wiring between the motor and the controller, of which three are connected in forward direction and the other three are connected in reverse direction. The method of adjusting the motor direction is the same as that of 60 degrees.
 
3、 Wiring precautions
 
1. When wiring, power can be applied, but be careful and orderly. The rotation angle of the speed regulating handle should not be too large to avoid damaging the controller.
 
2. Abnormal phenomenon of the motor, such as shaking or excessive noise, indicates that the wiring status is not correct.
 
3. If the motor reverses in a certain state and the controller line sequence is known, the motor can rotate forward only when the hall lines a and B of the controller and the phase lines a and B of the motor winding are replaced.
 
4. The brushless wheel motor with 60 degree and 120 degree phase angle needs to be driven by the corresponding brushless controller with 60 degree and 120 degree phase angle. When wiring, the controllers of the two phase angles cannot be exchanged directly.
